Our Leaders

We value internal and external accountability, as well as plurality in leadership. In many ways, our community is led more by its members than by any top down structure. As an emerging church expression, The Neighborhood is formally under the oversight of The River Community Church. Joe and Karisa are permanent members of The Order of Mission.

Rev. Joe Paravisini

Joe is a Rhode Island native with over a decade of community-focused ministry experience. He lives in the Elmwood neighborhood in the Southside of Providence, RI with his wife Karisa and six rambunctious children. He is ordained as a Commissioned Pastor within the Christian Reformed Church of North America in Classis Atlantic Northeast. He serves as the lead planter, helping new churches start and flourish, developing network vision and leaders.
