Psalms: 69,62,119:153-160
Moment of Silence
I have calmed and quieted my soul (Ps. 131:2a)
Request for Presence
Answer my prayers, O Lord,
for your unfailing love is wonderful.
Take care of me,
for your mercy is so plentiful. (Ps. 69:16)
Our Father, who is in Heaven...
Then I will praise God's name with singing,
and I will honor him with thanksgiving.
For this will please the Lord more than sacrificing cattle (Ps. 69:30-31a)
Express thankful praise for who God is and what he has done
Gloria Patri
Your Kingdom come, your will be done...
For God will save Jerusalem
and rebuild the towns of Judah.
His people will live there
and settle in their own land.
The descendants of those who obey him will inherit the land,
and those who love him will live there in safety. (Ps. 69:35-36)
Pray for God's kingdom to increase locally and globally
Give us this day, our daily bread...
The humble will see their God at work and be glad.
Let all who seek God's help be encouraged.
For the Lord hears the cries of the needy;
he does not despise his imprisoned people. (Ps. 69:32-33)
Bring practical needs and anxieties to the Father
Forgive us our sins...
O God, you know how foolish I am;
my sins cannot be hidden from you.
Don't let those who trust in you be ashamed because of me,
O Sovereign Lord of Heaven's Armies. (Ps. 69:5-6a)
Spend a moment in quiet confession and pray for healing of relational conflict
And lead us not into temptation...
Let all that I am wait quietly before God,
for my hope is in him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will not be shaken.
O my people, trust in him at all times.
Pour out your heart to him,
for God is our refuge. (Ps. 62:5-6,8)
Request the Spirit's wisdom and protection to walk in God's ways
Closing Benediction
The humble will see their God at work and be glad.
Let all who seek God's help be encouraged. (Ps. 69:32)
