Moment of Silence
I have calmed and quieted my soul (Ps. 131:2a)
Request for Presence
O Lord, God of my salvation,
I cry out to you by day.
I come to you at night. (Ps. 88:1)
Our Father, who is in Heaven...
But as for me, I will sing about your power.
Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love.
For you have been my refuge,
a place of safety when I am in distress. (Ps. 59:16)
Express thankful praise for who God is and what he has done
Gloria Patri
Your Kingdom come, your will be done...
Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship,
for they will walk in the light of your presence, Lord. (Ps. 89:15)
Pray for God's kingdom to increase locally and globally
Give us this day, our daily bread...
With every bone in my body I will praise him:
“Lord, who can compare with you?
Who else rescues the helpless from the strong?
Who else protects the helpless and poor from those who rob them?” (Ps. 35:10)
Bring practical needs and anxieties to the Father
Forgive us our sins...
My eyes are blinded by my tears.
Each day I beg for your help, O Lord;
I lift my hands to you for mercy. (Ps. 88:9)
Spend a moment in quiet confession and pray for healing of relational conflict
And lead us not into temptation...
The teaching of your word gives light,
so even the simple can understand.
Guide my steps by your word,
so I will not be overcome by evil. (Ps. 119:130,133)
Request the Spirit's wisdom and protection to walk in God's ways
Closing Benediction
O my Strength, to you I sing praises,
for you, O God, are my refuge,
the God who shows me unfailing love. (Ps. 59:17)
