Psalms: 8,90,92,149
Moment of Silence
I have calmed and quieted my soul (Ps. 131:2a)
Request for Presence
Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love,
so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives. (Ps. 90:14)
Our Father, who is in Heaven...
Praise the Lord!
Sing to the Lord a new song.
Sing his praises in the assembly of the faithful. (Ps. 149:1)
Express thankful praise for who God is and what he has done
Gloria Patri
Your Kingdom come, your will be done...
O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!
Your glory is higher than the heavens.
You have taught children and infants
to tell of your strength (Ps. 8:1-2a)
Pray for God's kingdom to increase locally and globally
Give us this day, our daily bread...
But the godly will flourish like palm trees
and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon.
For they are transplanted to the Lord's own house.
They flourish in the courts of our God. (Ps. 92:12-13)
Bring practical needs and anxieties to the Father
Forgive us our sins...
You spread out our sins before you—
our secret sins—and you see them all. (Ps. 90:8)
Spend a moment in quiet confession and pray for healing of relational conflict
And lead us not into temptation...
Teach us to realize the brevity of life,
so that we may grow in wisdom. (Ps. 90:12)
Request the Spirit's wisdom and protection to walk in God's ways
Closing Benediction
Let us, your servants, see you work again;
let our children see your glory.
And may the Lord our God show us his approval
and make our efforts successful.
Yes, make our efforts successful! (Ps. 90:16-17)
