Psalms: 141,142,144,119:121-128
Moment of Silence
I have calmed and quieted my soul (Ps. 131:2a)
Request for Presence
O Lord, I am calling to you. Please hurry!
Listen when I cry to you for help! (Ps. 141:1)
Our Father, who is in Heaven...
Praise the Lord, who is my rock.
He trains my hands for war
and gives my fingers skill for battle. (Ps. 144:1)
Express thankful praise for who God is and what he has done
Gloria Patri
Your Kingdom come, your will be done...
My eyes strain to see your rescue,
to see the truth of your promise fulfilled. (Ps. 119:123)
Pray for God's kingdom to increase locally and globally
Give us this day, our daily bread...
I cry out to the Lord;
I plead for the Lord's mercy.
I pour out my complaints before him
and tell him all my troubles.
When I am overwhelmed,
you alone know the way I should turn. (Ps. 142:1-3a)
Bring practical needs and anxieties to the Father
Forgive us our sins...
O Lord, what are human beings that you should notice them,
mere mortals that you should think about them? (Ps. 144:3)
Spend a moment in quiet confession and pray for healing of relational conflict
And lead us not into temptation...
Take control of what I say, O Lord,
and guard my lips.
Don't let me drift toward evil
or take part in acts of wickedness.
Don't let me share in the delicacies
of those who do wrong. (Ps. 141:3-4)
Request the Spirit's wisdom and protection to walk in God's ways
Closing Benediction
May our sons flourish in their youth
like well-nurtured plants.
May our daughters be like graceful pillars,
carved to beautify a palace.
May our barns be filled
with crops of every kind.
May the flocks in our fields multiply by the thousands,
even tens of thousands,
and may our oxen be loaded down with produce. (Ps. 144:12-14a)
