Psalms: 14,17,52
Moment of Silence
I have calmed and quieted my soul (Ps. 131:2a)
Request for Presence
I am praying to you because I know you will answer, O God.
Bend down and listen as I pray. (Ps. 17:6)
Our Father, who is in Heaven...
I will praise you forever, O God,
for what you have done.
I will trust in your good name
in the presence of your faithful people. (Ps. 52:9)
Express thankful praise for who God is and what he has done
Gloria Patri
Your Kingdom come, your will be done...
By the power of your hand, O Lord,
destroy those who look to this world for their reward.
But satisfy the hunger of your treasured ones.
May their children have plenty,
leaving an inheritance for their descendants. (Ps. 17:14)
Pray for God's kingdom to increase locally and globally
Give us this day, our daily bread...
But I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God.
I will always trust in God's unfailing love. (Ps. 52:8)
Bring practical needs and anxieties to the Father
Forgive us our sins...
You have tested my thoughts and examined my heart in the night.
You have scrutinized me and found nothing wrong.
I am determined not to sin in what I say. (Ps. 17:3)
Spend a moment in quiet confession and pray for healing of relational conflict
And lead us not into temptation...
Show me your unfailing love in wonderful ways.
By your mighty power you rescue
those who seek refuge from their enemies.
Guard me as you would guard your own eyes.
Hide me in the shadow of your wings. (Ps. 17:7-8)
Request the Spirit's wisdom and protection to walk in God's ways
Closing Benediction
Because I am righteous, I will see you.
When I awake, I will see you face to face and be satisfied. (Ps. 17:15)
