Psalms: 23,76,28
Moment of Silence
I have calmed and quieted my soul (Ps. 131:2a)
Request for Presence
I pray to you, O Lord, my rock.
Do not turn a deaf ear to me. (Ps. 28:1a)
Our Father, who is in Heaven...
Praise the Lord!
For he has heard my cry for mercy.
The Lord is my strength and shield.
I trust him with all my heart.
He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.
I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. (Ps. 28:6-7)
Express thankful praise for who God is and what he has done
Gloria Patri
Your Kingdom come, your will be done...
You stand up to judge those who do evil, O God,
and to rescue the oppressed of the earth. (Ps. 76:9)
Pray for God's kingdom to increase locally and globally
Give us this day, our daily bread...
The Lord is my shepherd;
I have all that I need. (Ps. 23:1)
Bring practical needs and anxieties to the Father
Forgive us our sins...
Listen to my prayer for mercy
as I cry out to you for help,
as I lift my hands toward your holy sanctuary. (Ps. 28:2)
Spend a moment in quiet confession and pray for healing of relational conflict
And lead us not into temptation...
Even when I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
protect and comfort me. (Ps. 23:4)
Request the Spirit's wisdom and protection to walk in God's ways
Closing Benediction
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
forever. (Ps. 23:6)
