Psalms: 56,70,75
Moment of Silence
I have calmed and quieted my soul (Ps. 131:2a)
Request for Presence
But may all who search for you
be filled with joy and gladness in you. (Ps. 70:4a)
Our Father, who is in Heaven...
I praise God for what he has promised.
I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?
What can mere mortals do to me? (Ps. 56:4)
Express thankful praise for who God is and what he has done
Gloria Patri
Your Kingdom come, your will be done...
We thank you, O God!
We give thanks because you are near.
People everywhere tell of your wonderful deeds. (Ps. 75:1)
Pray for God's kingdom to increase locally and globally
Give us this day, our daily bread...
You keep track of all my sorrows.
You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in your book. (Ps. 56:8)
Bring practical needs and anxieties to the Father
Forgive us our sins...
For you have rescued me from death;
you have kept my feet from slipping.
So now I can walk in your presence, O God,
in your life-giving light. (Ps. 56:13)
Spend a moment in quiet confession and pray for healing of relational conflict
And lead us not into temptation...
May those who love your salvation
repeatedly shout, “God is great!”
But as for me, I am poor and needy;
please hurry to my aid, O God.
You are my helper and my savior;
O Lord, do not delay. (Ps. 70:4b-5)
Request the Spirit's wisdom and protection to walk in God's ways
Closing Benediction
My enemies will retreat when I call to you for help.
This I know: God is on my side!
I praise God for what he has promised;
yes, I praise the Lord for what he has promised. (Ps. 56:9-10)
